The safeguarding context around a school, written for the policy.
An annual report for Designated Safeguarding Leads, trusts and governors. It reads the public record for the area around a school's gate and the routes children take to it, and writes up what that means for the school's safeguarding. It describes the context; it never rates the school.
What it does
Statutory guidance asks schools to consider whether children are at risk of harm in situations outside their families. Evidencing that means gathering around ten public sources for one school and relating each to the guidance. A capable safeguarding lead can do it by hand in a day or two per school; few have the time.
Safeguarding Context does that work for a named school and writes it up: what children's services record across the authority, the police record around the gate, places and routes, and the neighbourhood, each tied to the words of the guidance it answers. It ends with a paragraph for the child protection policy, a paragraph for the governors' annual report and the inspector's questions answered from the findings, with the limits of the data stated.

Safeguarding Context takes the police record from UK Crime Statistics through a read-only partner interface and places each school with GeoCode. The two services answer different questions: UK Crime Statistics describes places, Safeguarding Context describes a school's duties. It runs as a separate service with its own site, data and accounts, and small counts are never printed, so nothing in a report points at a person.
