Complete the marked items and confirm every statement matches the shipped build. This notice must also agree with the Data Safety declaration in Google Play Console — if the two disagree, the listing can be rejected or removed.
The short version
Almanac keeps what you record on your device. There is no account, no sign-up and no Meddalwedd server behind the app. We never receive your trackers, entries, notes, photos or reminders, and we cannot read them. Nothing is sold, shared or used for advertising. The app contains no analytics, no crash-reporting service and no tracking of any kind.
1. Who we are
Almanac is published by Meddalwedd Ltd (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales, company number [COMPANY NUMBER], registered office [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS]. You can contact us at info@meddalwedd.co.uk.
Because your entries never reach us, we are not a data controller for the content you record in Almanac. You are. This notice explains where that content lives and what the app does with it.
2. What Almanac stores, and where
Everything you create in Almanac is written to a database held in the app’s private storage area on your own device. That includes:
- the trackers you create, and how you have configured them;
- the entries you log, including their dates, times and any notes;
- any photographs you choose to attach to an entry;
- reminder settings and schedules;
- your app settings and preferences.
This data stays on the device. It is not uploaded to us, and the app contains no code capable of sending it to us. If you uninstall Almanac, this data is removed with it — so please export anything you want to keep first (see section 6).
3. What we receive
Nothing you record. We operate no server for Almanac and hold no user accounts. We do not collect usage statistics, analytics, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, location data or crash reports.
If you email us for support, we receive whatever you choose to put in that email. That correspondence is handled under our main privacy policy. Please do not send us screenshots or exports containing information you would rather keep private — we do not need them to help you.
4. Purchases
Almanac offers in-app purchases. These are handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see or receive your payment card details, billing address or Google account credentials — Google processes the transaction and tells the app only whether a purchase is active.
Google’s handling of your purchase and account data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy, not by this one. Google Play Billing is the reason Almanac requests internet access; the app makes no other network requests.
5. Permissions, and why each one exists

6. Exporting your data
Almanac can export your data as CSV, JSON or a ZIP archive. An export only happens when you ask for one. Once you have exported a file and chosen where to send or save it, that copy is outside the app and outside our control — it is governed by whatever service or storage you sent it to. Treat exports containing personal notes with the same care you would any other private document.
7. Sensitive and health-related entries
People use Almanac to track things that are nobody else’s business — symptoms, medical appointments, treatments, habits they are trying to change. The app is designed on the assumption that some of what you record is sensitive:
- it never leaves your device unless you export it deliberately;
- individual trackers can be locked behind your device biometrics, so they are not visible to someone casually holding your phone;
- we receive nothing, so there is no database of ours that could be breached, subpoenaed or sold.
Anyone who can unlock your device may be able to open Almanac unless you enable the app or tracker lock. Device-level security remains your responsibility.
8. Children
Almanac is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, of any age — because we do not collect data at all.
9. Your rights
Because your Almanac data stays on your device, you control it directly: you can edit or delete any tracker or entry in the app, export everything at any time, and remove all of it by uninstalling the app.
For any personal data we do hold — for example, if you have emailed us — you have the rights set out in our main privacy policy, including the right to request a copy, correction or deletion, and the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
10. Changes to this notice
If a future version of Almanac changes what it stores or transmits, we will update this notice and the Data Safety information on Google Play before that version is released. The date at the top shows when this notice was last changed.
